Of course I got swept up in the excitement of 365, pledging to take a photo a day for the whole year. Hell, I even thought it would be no trouble to get a kit. Ha!
So here we are in month 6 and I have not missed one single day! Of course I have now set my self up to miss the next week LOL. I admit there have been days when my photos have been less than stellar (omg, it's 11.58pm and I have not taken a photo, what can I snap) and I have some serious camera / lighting and blur issues in many, but in the spirit of the project you will find them all in my 365 album.
The hardest part was actually deciding what to do. Do I use Becky's downloads (which I thought I would) or do I use patterned paper? Do I journal with the computer or by hand (OK, that's a no brainer) and what ever I choose I just have to get started.
So here is what I have settled on and I am almost caught up with my journaling. Each month I follow the same simple (because I'm a "simple" girl at heart) steps:
- Each month has it's own colour
- I run a week (Monday - Sunday) per page, from left to right, even if a new month starts
- I punched out the date in the matching colour to identify each photos date
- Journaling runs across the bottom
- With the extra journaling box I fill it with the colour of the month and then in reverse text I use one word to summarise each photo.
- I have printed all the weeks titles and slipped them in
- I have printed and punched all the date circles
- I have cut all my 6" x 4" journaling cards.
Sound super organised I know, but it just seemed easier to have it all ready because as we head into the second half of the year, it's only going to get busier and that's when things always go pear shaped!!
OK, see what you think...
I'm still deciding if I need a title page that explains what 365 is about, we will see.
