December came and now it's all but over! I packed a lot into the last month of this year, so here is a recap as I say goodbye to 2008...
- started my AE December Daily album, got the album made, stayed caught up untill about the 12th, kept taking the photos & plan to get that finished asap.
-
super busy at work, new boss, lots of change.
-
annual work christmas party, lots of fun and some very interesting dance moves were on display (who says you can get to old to booty shake LOL - I know, that was TMI!!)
-
finally got the christmas cards finished and in the mail
-
Oscar's Year 10 formal. Who said it was easy (or cheap) to have boys? A new suit, new shirt, new shoes and hair cut on the day. Was totally worth it and he had a great time. Me, I couldn't believe how grown up they all looked. Sigh.
-
Byron's Year 6 Presentation & Graduation. This is it, no more primary school for Byron. He had a great report card and can't wait for High School to start.
-
Oscar's High School Presentation Night (same day as Byron's...we were completely over awards, musical numbers and speeches by the end of this very long day LOL). Oscar came 1st in Design & Technology and we were very proud.
-
Byron's Year 6 Farewell Night. Lots of work as our small committee did all the planning, invitations, food, set up & pack up, decorations etc. The venue looked great, the kids had a ball and I slept really well that night!!
-
Oscar's Year 10 Graduation - yes we made it through the School Certificate (did well, parents very happy!). Last day of being the junior, next year a senior (with all the privleges, new uniform and the HSC bearing down)
-
We planted a herb garden and added some cherry tomatos. We were so impressed to produce these babies...and they were good and the herbs are growing like crazy.
-
late to the bandwagon, but now I am obsessed (I know, I know). Read the 4 books & saw the movie twice and that was just during December! Am now having dreams about Edward Cullen (yes I know, very, very wrong)
-
Byron & I worked on our Christmas cooking...
-
got the tree up, finished up the Christmas shopping, got all the parcels wrapped and then it really started to look like christmas.
-
santa found us at my sisters (where we spent Christmas eve, christmas day & boxing day) and the kids were all very happy. Actually, the adults were all pretty happy as well. Santa was good to everyone!
-
before...
-
after...
-
I had another birthday, man time really does march on, and on, and on. We had dinner out with mum & dad & the boys - gary had to work :(
-
finished up my Design Your Life class and am missing it already. Still have about 10 layouts to finish (gee, I wonder how that happened during december LOL) and then I will be all done. 36 layouts in a nice fat binder, chock full of creative goodness. I am really going to miss this class
-
taking up the 365 challenge (see Becky's blog) for 2009 and now have to hope I can get a kit (Mel, I know you are on this!!!!!).
-
and finally, we took the tree down, packed up all the christmas decorations and had a big clean up of the house. Now I can start 2009 neat, tidy and organised. Feels good indeed.
-
So that's where I've been. I have another week off work and hope to get some scrapping done, start on some new books, start in on some of my Christmas presents (Seinfeld box set & Will & Grace box set) and just catch up on sleep.
-
And of course, I need to get back into the diet & fitness routine as I think I was just a little to wild & crazy over Christmas LOL.
