midnight (3.00am) scrapping with the girls...

Did a little overnight to my sisters in Sydney for a "Maitland Scrapbook Retreat" reunion on the weekend. We saw a movie (Brideshead Revisited) at Bondi Junction, had a little dinner, with a Max Brennar chocolate chaser and then headed back for some serious scrapping and another viewing of the Sex & the City movie.

Here is proof that I actually got to work and scrapped (more homework from my CZ class)...

An 8" x 8" mini album - 5 things about you - where you list 5 things about a person. Working from a template I got 10 pages done (super happy about that) but will spare you every single one of them and just show you a few LOL

 

 

 

 

 

 

On the Sunday the family drove up to meet me and we all headed off to "Sculpture by the Sea", which is a post for another day!

cathy is keeping me busy...

Loving my class over at BPS, but it has been a while since I was this productive!! I just figure at this time of the year I need to stay caught up.

 

 

Just following the sketches, using the downloads and getting those photos out of the boxes and onto scrapbook pages.

So I was visiting Kim's blog, like you do because her work is fab and I love reading blogs LOL. Kim has a post dedicated to the classic 80's perm, that we all fell victim to, as an introduction to her new class "Do You Remember".

After cracking up at Kims photos and remembering that time in my life all to clearly, I was moved to take up Kim's challenge of posting my own perm horror stories LOL

Sadly, I could not find the photo I was looking for, that shows in all its glory, my mullet like perm. That was a really nice stage in my hair life.

Now this is what a mullet spiral perm, that has grown out, looks like...

 

Ahhh...that looks really nice doesn't it?

But, it gets better. Say you decide to cut off all your hair, but you still want to rock out your perm...

 

Now that is hot...and look at how I know it!!!!!!

The photo quality only proves that this era in my life was a very long time ago.

Man, the 80's have SO MUCH to answer for!

I am really liking this class and Cathy Z is a cool, no stress teacher. It is very freeing to just follow along each week with the new sketch / ideas that are presented.

The colour challenges are also pushing me to use combinations that would not normally be my first choice (which is good) and I have made a vow to complete this class only with supplies from my stash (which has been given a good boost since the trip to the States LOL).

So far so good, but Cathy had better stop using orange in her colour combos as my  fav orange HS chipboard letters are almost used up. Ha!

So one class finishes, and another one starts!

From October to December I am taking an online class over at BPS, and the teacher for the next 3 months is Cathy Zielske.

We kicked off our first week by studying "Balance" . Here are my two assignments (following the sketches we downloaded) for the week.

 

 

I have been looking forward to this class for a while now and it is off to a great start. Hopefully I can stay this caught up for the next 12 weeks!!!!

Spotted this fun project doing the rounds and thought I would jump on board.

So this little bazzill album holds 10 photos that represent my "life right now" and I think it will be fun to see my thoughts in 1 years time :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My photos are a mix of family, food, fun and housework (very much my life right now!!!). Stacy has lots of links on her blog so you can see what everyone else has been doing.

In other wonderful news...I have a supplier [oh, how I love google].

 

There are wheat thins in my life again [insert very happy face] but at $8.00 + postage a box, it will have to fall into the "occassional treat" category [insert very sad face].
